What is gender: gender is the identi cation of someone"s sex. The feeling of being a woman and the feeling of being a male. A social construct of someone"s identity of sex. Usually it has to do with someone"s sex/sexuality, but always has to do with the construct of the someone"s brain: it has to do with our biological characteristics but not at the same time. Gender is something we do: an expressive way of how we act. A performance dealing with how we act, how we dress, how we speak. Characteristics of a male: athletic, aggressive, lazy about chores, strong or powerful, brave or fearless, breadwinner/income earner, buff; tall; hairy, female. Characteristics of a female: makeup and long hair / short, sensitive or nurturing. Monday, january 28, 2019: emotional/irrational, quiet or submissive, dainty, care taker. How do we learn these roles: parents, media: tv shows or movies, school/day care.
