Systems biology is a research area that tries to understand the biological systems. A change in the system changes the entire system and can change the output. The output cannot be defined by just one change to the object but rather the connectivity of the system. Continue the steps until the prediction you get is validated/confirmed by the experimental data that you collect. Used to see known pathways and proteins. Systems analysis - based on concept by karplus. when you have an excitation and a response which helps you understand the system. If you have the excitation and you know the system, you should be able to predict the system. When you are given the system and want to maximize the response, you want to know what controls the system (the excitation)
