Impairments to fluency and rhythm, often has rapid rate, disordered articulation and higher level language impairments. Clutters are only aware there is a problem when they are told. Includes work on rate, inters of slowing down. Relates to a disturbance to pitch, loudness, resonance or quality in relation to a persons age, gender and cultural background. Aphonia- complete lack or assonance of voice. Granuloma- mild cause of acne on the vf. Functional- misuse or abuse is the cause. This can lead to the development of the pathology. Vocal nodes/nodules- growth that occur on the vf, unilateral or bilateral, in the beginning they are pink or red as vocal abuse continues they can turn white grey and harden. Psychogenic- result from any psychiatric , physiological impairments. Mutational falsetto - men who have gone through puberty physically but they maintained the voice of their younger-selves. Conversion dysphonia and aphonia- aphonia- no voice, no matter how much you try.
