Most visual info is immediately available, but quickly decays over time (lasts ~ 1 second). Stimulus is shown for about less than half a second so the viewer is not able to rehearse. Almost all visual information is automatically retained for a brief period of time (e. g. , sperling). Fleeting not as fleeting as sensory memory. Clive wearing and h. m. impaired ltm, ok stm.
