The 4 emperors were all generals who were elected by their private armies. Vespasian is the only one who survives so he is the emperor. Vespasian is important because he establishes the flavian dynasty. They fought together on the battlefield against the jews and both were decorated and beloved generals. Josephus, an ancient roman author, actually fought for the. The most important thing to vespasian during his rule was ridding rome of nero. He immediately tore down his massive palace and converted into things for the people to enjoy including the flavian amphitheatre.
