Liberating (or Critical) Model of Education vs. Banking Model of Education
- Freire (1989) advocated for creating “schools where questioning is not a sin” (as cited in
Wink, 2011, p. 99). He opposed the banking concept of education where educators
would make “deposits” in the educatees.
