Positive symptoms: pathological excesses" or bizarre additions to a person"s behavior (delusions, disorganized thinking and speech, heighten perceptions, inappropriate affect) Delusions: ideas that they believe wholeheartedly but have no basis in fact; strange false belief firmly held despite evidence to the contrary. Of reference: attach special and personal meaning to the actions of others or to various objects or events. Of grandeur: believe themselves to be inventors, religious saviors, or other specially empowered people.
