Suicide-intentioned death (self-inflicted death in which on makes an intentional, direct, and conscious effort to end one"s life. Death seekers- clearly intend to end their lives at the time they attempt suicide. Death initiator-clearly intend to end their lives, but they act out of a belief that the process of death is already under way and that they are simply speeding up the process. Death ignorers-do not believe that their self-inflicted death will mean the end of their existences. Death darers-experience mixed feelings, or ambivalence in their intent to die even at the moment of the attempt, and they show this ambivalence in the act itself. Subintentional death-when individuals play an indirect, covert, partial, or unconscious role in their own death (this is a suicide-like category) Chronic suicide-people who behave in life-endangering ways over an extended period of time, perhaps consuming excessive alcohol, drugs, or indulging in risky activities or occupations.
