For some reason men develop it early in life (mid teens, mid twenties), but women don"t develop their first symptom til mid twenties to mid thirties. Main symptoms: they"re speech is messed up. Biological factors out jumbled and nothing makes sense. Sometimes they"ll be catatonic or highly animated, or inappropriate. Paranoid schizophrenics believe the world is out to get them. They also experience hallucinations, which are mistake sensory experiences. Excess of dopamine- any drugs that block the dopamine receptors (increasing dopamine) will experience schizophrenic-like symptoms. The thalamus tends to be a little bit smaller (thalamus is the senses central station). This explains why they might have difficulty without selective attention. Stress! they can begin the development when they have a high level of stress.
