During the industrial revolution in the 1800s the agrarian lifestyle declined with the rise of modern industries, new machines, and mass production. Urban areas replaced rural areas as the centers of social and economic life. In the 1950s and 60s tv became central to peoples lives. Definition: the appearance of older media forms on the newest media channels.
