Searches for receptors on fat cells after it leaves the liver. Lipoprotein lipase on the outside of the fat cell is activated by insulin. Breaks down the fat in vldl into fatty acids. Can be transported into the fat cell. After vldl drops off some of the fat it turns into idl. Can be sent back to the liver and be restocked with more fat. Only has apo-b receptor, not all three.
