Ohp overlaps with both io psychology and occupational health (general well- being of the population--epidemiology) Mostly focuses on health and stress in organizations. Develop, test, and evaluate theories based on research and empirical skills. One-fourth of employees view their jobs as the number one stressor in their lives. Three-fourths of employees believe the worker has more on-the-job stress than a generation ago. Problems at work are more strongly associated with health complaints than are any other life stressor. More so than even financial problems or family problems. Stress is related to the #1 and #3 most common causes of death in the us: Workplace changes that affect worker health and wellbeing.
