Course objectives: acquire and synthesize scientific knowledge about industrial psychology: Job analysis: selection, performance measurement, training, enhance critical thinking, develop scientific writing skills, understand how industrial psychology may relate to your own past, current, or future work experiences. Course format: primarily lecture, psy 441 (class size = 20) focuses on the application of course material and conducting applied. Some large and small group discussion projects in teams. Note: this course will discuss the application of statistics: descriptive statistics, correlations, and regression analysis. Participation and attendance: attendance highly encouraged, exams will cover material discussed in class that is not in the book, 3 required exams, optional final. Taking the final means you can drop the lowest grade. In addition, there will be 5 quizzes (6 given; lowest grade dropped) to check your knowledge of material biweekly, will be used to facilitate class participation and be used to. Exams: 3 exams see syllabus for dates, optional cumulative final during finals week.
