Ongoing patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors: deviant, distressful, 1 out of 4 people has a diagnosable disorder at some point during the year (cid:396)thud(cid:397), (cid:396)empty(cid:397), (cid:396)hollow(cid:397) 5 or more depressive symptoms for > 2 weeks. Mania: hyperactive, wildly optimistic state - feelings of grandiosity and euphoria. Mania phase lasts around 1 week, depression usually lasts for longer. Marked by distressing, persistent anxiety or dysfunctional anxiety-reducing. Persistent and (cid:396)free floating(cid:397) tense, worried, and uneasy feelings. Seconds to minutes longs intense fear that something bad is going to happen. More than just being afraidpersistent, irritation avoidance of a feared thing. Anxiety lasting for at least 4 weeks after severely threatening, uncontrollable. Disorder marked by irrationality, distorted perceptions, and lost contact with reality. Schizophrenia (cid:396)split mind(cid:397) - split from reality.
