Manipulate what is going on with neurotransmitters. Takes about 4 weeks for someone to feel the effect. Appear to be more effective in people with more sever cases. Seems to help level the extremes that are associated with bipolar disorder. Someone who has been thrpugh psychological therapy and drug therapy and has shown no improvement. Has been effective for patients not responding to drug therapy. An implant in your brain that sends out electrical impulses.
