Continuity: focus a lot on experiences (ex: escalator) Stages: go through each stage and stay there before moving onto the next, focuses more on biology (ex: elevator) Temperament tends to remain relatively stable (more causes of substance abuse, arrested, etc. when they have low conscientiousness) Social attitudes are subject to change (able to mature) In some way, we all change with age (some may become more agreeable in adolescence or vice versa) Life requires both stability and change (balance) Try to see a difference in people that have similar backgrounds. Where you would check in on people at different point in their life. Pregnancy tests will not show this until about 10 days after conception. Only about conceptions make it past this stage. Inner cells are the embryo and the outer cells are the placenta. Week four is when the head starts to form (eyes, nose, ears, etc. )
