How history moves and how history works. times need to be just right in order for this change to take place: progress/change are inevitable, result of general zeitgeist. If the time is not ready (zeitgeist) then the event is not going to take place, the invention wont take place if the time is ready then it will take place: supported by examples of simultaneous discovery. In the personalistic theory vs the naturalistic theory . naturalistic theory holds true. If you have a great person and the times are ready then the event is going to be powerful and sweep forward: ex: behaviorism in psychology. School of psychology: structural school, functional school, behavioral school, term dies out after behaviorism. Widely used term in the early days of psychology. Share a very similar training (either studied with wundt or one of his students) Share similar ideas on how questions should be answered (methodology)--> introspection was a big methodology.
