So people went to the black market to get food. (food for system could only be atained legally) Reverse course is a massive change in occupaion policy in the 1940s. De-purge corporate execuive could return to their execuive jobs. They were removed from their post b/c of their close ies to the old system. Dramaic drop in the value of the yen (inlaion) Cold war, chiang kai-shek, mao zedong, by end of 1949 communist ruled china by mzd. Most communist were controlled by the soviet union. Mccarthyism he accused innocent people of being communist. America broke up the home ministry (controls police), then a naional police reserve was created. Economic miracle income doubled in 7 years, promised to double income in 10 years.
