If-1 enhances dissociation of large and small ribo subunits. *ribosome has 3 trna binding sites: aminoacyl (a), peptidyl (p), and exit (e) *all trnas bind first to a site (except _initiator trna: elongation occurs in 3 steps: Delivery of a _charged trna to a site, requires ef-tu, ef-t, gtp peptide_bond formation between aa in p and a, releases aa in p (enzyme - peptidyl transferase from rrna?)
