Galloway: proposes something similar to albany plan of 1754 (fails to pass) King angrily dismisses the petition and declares ma to be in a start of rebellion. Sent additional troops to put down any disorders clashes and violence. Apr 18, 1775: gen thomas gage (cmmdr of gb troops in boston) sent lrg force to seize colonial military supplies in concord.
