Matthew arnold: cultural critic, culture is the best that has been thought and said in the world. Education is responsible for making literary culture available. Cultural anthropology: general human behavior, including dance, language and relationships, examination of artifacts including pottery, instruments, weapons. Environment is altogether too big, too complex, and too fleeting. Pseudo-environment: a representation of the environment which is in lesser or greater degree made by man himself.
