Fetishism- sexual arousal by inanimate object or body parts. To be diagnosed with a paraphilic disorder, dsm-5 requires : Feeling personal distress about their interest, not merely distress resulting from disapproval; or (could be both) Have a sexual desire or behavior that involves another person"s psychological distress, injury, or death, or a desire for sexual behaviors involving unwilling persons or persons unable to give legal consent. Have behaviors begin at an early age usually adolescence. Have a need to be in control. E. g. , the obscene phone caller can reach out & touch a person w/o a possible face-to-face rejection. Often the person"s oddness tends to cause others to avoid them, & they become isolated & get worse. Sadism- obtains sexual pleasure by inflicting pain. Masochism- likes to be hurt or humiliated. Urophilia- golden shower or arousal from urine. Frotteurism- obtaining sexual arousal by rubbing against another person in a crowded area.
