Passion: passion tends to occur at the beginning of relationships and peaks relatively quickly. Passion is the drive that leads to physical attraction and sexual consummation. Intimacy: intimacy tends to peak slower than passion. Intimacy includes feelings of closeness and connectedness in loving relationships. Commitment: the decision that one loves someone else and the commitment to maintain that love.
