Document Summary

Foreshadowing of what our 21st century will look like (when we advance in our careers) Likely to be a wolrd where states like india, china, russia (maybe places in africa) have much more economic influence than in an age of western dominance. Interesting to imagine what lives/world order will ook at when taking this shift into account. Age of westernism is coming to an end. Both identified and emerged as nations after wwii, both were suspicious of west in capitalism (aka imperialism) India ends up with world"s largest democracy for ~70 years now (pretty impressive) India also still hobbled by issues like class/democratic equality. China has done much better job of taking care of poor/social equality/spreading education uniformally but does not have democratic government. Very interesting contrast, exploring these two emerging powers. India was dominated by east india company (trader colonialism)
