Affordable care act passed by obama: patient protection and affordable care act. The federal government created a website to how the aca works. It talks about the aca and the health insurance market place (this is a website that you can go to in order to purchase insurance). If you do not quality for employer sponsor insurance, you can buy your own plan. You need to have access to the internet. Otherwise, you can do it with a 800 number, but the process is very long. Public libraries usually have free computer access need to know what resources are in a community. However, there is still debate about it and more is being repealed. The individual mandate has been removed from a federal level: from a federal perspective you are no longer required to have a health care. When this was in place, if you did not have healthcare you would pay a penalty.
