When thomas jefferson and john adams died on the same day, rioting broke out because they saw it as a bad sign -> two founding fathers died. Their deaths marked the end of the founding period. Certain that the average person had genius embedded in them. This does not mean that the wealth distribution was equal. This age of jackson appeared after the war of 1812. Americans at the time believed in the great empire of liberty . At the core of the division between north and south was the issue of slavery. Struggle between those who would end slavery and those who would keep it. Most of society was apathetic to the issue. 1. the jacksonian democracy and the two-party system is the system that we have now. It was a product of the way politics had worked in those early decades of the 19th century. Two-party system evolved in 1820, not during the revolution.
