Florida sinkholes produced by dissolution of limestone by carbonic acid made of limestone (congruent weathering) Incongruent results in newly made clay minerals and dissolved ions (can make a new type of soil/change clay minerals) Feldspar + water + co2 = sodium + bicarbonate + silica = kaolinate (clay) Sand (very coarse sand, coarse sand, medium sand, fine sand, very fine sand ) Size tells us how far they will travel (with rain, snow, ice ets) and ultimately how we make up our marine sediment.
