Connective tissue is the most diverse set of tissues within our body. We can categorized them all as connective tissues are the presence of cells which are scattered (lots of space in between). There are also lots of protein bers, which come in three variates. Bers are surrounded by some sort of substance: ground substance (which is extra cellular matrix), made of water, proteins and carbs. The composition of the ground substance will vary from one tissue to another. The cells are not connected to with other. Brous connective tissue (with many many ber laments) Uid connective tissue, of which the only type is blood. When we talk about the cells that we nd in connective tissues there are: Collagenous bers, which is made of the protein collage (main component in leather and glue). colleges is tough, exible and resists stretching. If we can compress all of the collagen. Bers together, we get leather (which, in fact, does not stretch).
