Nutrient storage and synthesis (vitamin d) (it presents excess energy in the form of adipose tissue of our skin) Sensory receptions, it is very important for our nervous system to react to the outer environment. The dermis is the core center and it is like of a pink color. Under the hypodermis there is a deep fascia, a connective tissue that surrounds muscles (it is a pearly color). Hypodermis consists mostly of adipose, which gives it a beige/brown color. Epidermis is an avascular, nutrient diffuse from dermis.
