Document Summary

As (atherosclerosis) is hardening of arteries [arterial walls] and loose elasticity bc plaque buildup heart attack and stroke. Soon, rupture fibrous cap, leading to thrombosis or blood clot. Progression of as bc of ^ ldl cholesterol in blood. Arterial plaque deposits have infecting bacteria or prokaryotic biomarkers. Bacteria within carotid arterial plaques are biofilm infections aka pseudomonas aeruginosa which undergo biofilm dispersion in vitro especially with catechol hormone norepinephrine and also iron chelator transferrin. Present study; analyze as human carotid arteries for propionibacterium acnes (p. Gram-positive bacillus associated with pulmonary infections, endocarditis and as plaque deposits. Screened 15 as carotid arteries for propionibacterium 16s rrna gene and 10 arteries for p. acnes. Fish done on a 5 as carotid arteries to see location of p. acnes with the plaque assess p. acnes involvement with biofilm infections. Biofilm growth ability of biofilm bacteria to disperse with extracellular lytic enzymes in plaque lesion area.
