Document Summary

Auto of the work of art/ photograph. Five notes on the phenomenology of the photographic image , damisch. Photograph is more than a mosaic than a drawing or a painting. Made up of dots and not lines like the latter. In digital photograph, the finer the image the high resolution because more pixels in an inch. We usually prefer those photographs that are not so grainy; want photographs that show lines. Digital camera reproduces same technique of camera obscura but uses algorithms and computer processes. Lumosity : translating what is perceived in the a world to a system inscribed in the camera. Colors change with the technology and the age. Vintage/ retro images more faded and muted. Would say: this print is the best version of the real that we can find. Product of human about and does not belong to the natural world. It creates a hallucination that makes us forget that photography is a human intervention.
