Different notion of discipline and strategy - ambush (vs. conquistador with training, discipline and same uniform, unlike natives with different dress based on rank) Cortes talks with natives: uses psychological term > peace: treaty of god and women (malinche - interpreting skills) Pleased to see discord between various people. Even convinced tobascans to capitulate; realize commonality - dislike/ hate aztecs.
