Document Summary

Signal, action potential that goes up to the brain, and you feel pain. Formation of neural tube - form the brain and spinal cord. Neural tube forms the brain and spinal cord (central nervous system), on dorsal side of embryo. Cells at the top of the neural tube, pinch off and migrate to other places in the body, called neural crest cells. As they are traveling away, other cells are sending signals to create peripheral nervous system. Cerebral spinal fluid will make central canal (inner part of spinal cord, filled with csf) or ventricles in the brain (csf inside) Brain continues to develop in humans after birth. Proteins like receptors looking for signals on growth cone, different types. Target cell have similar type of protein on its membrane and they would be attractants. When the membranes get close together, the proteins bind together, Other molecules inside or outside of cells that are a repellant.
