The topical essay is meant to be a fun project an opportunity to learn more about a topic that you find particularly interesting! Your essay should be about something to do with the content of the course that is, drugs and the brain. It is essential that your essay present material beyond what is in the course lectures and readings. It is also essential that your topic be one for which there is recent interest and research. The grade for your essay will be in part determined by how well you follow these instructions. We recommend you carefully read them more than once.
