Tesla"s marketing and advertising for its autopilot and full self-driving vehicle features appears to constitute deceptive and unfair practices. Tesla offers enhanced autopilot (eap) and full self driving (fsd) features which assist in driving using cameras/radars and ultrasonic sensors. Mostly used to keep car centered in lane and control speed/following distance in traffic. Fsd has been promised for years with premium cost but still isn"t different from eap. Requires driver to always pay attention and have hands on wheel. Has caused accidents from crashing into stationary objects including death of. Not all vehicles have fsd hardware as promised in october 2016 (v2), hardware has since been upgraded to v3. Accidents are mostly caused by lack of radar and camera interfacing. Radar trained to ignore stationary objects to avoid having to swerve/emergency brake for false positives. Radar also doesn"t easily recognize size/threat of object. Three deaths and numerous crashes have been caused by this issue.
