In the example of cyclone 2b, lack of medical facilities and supply of pure drinking water makes women life increasingly vulnerable. Some women are even more susceptible to disaster, such as pregnant women, or disabled women because they find it difficult to move around and seek for help. Because bangladesh is one of the poor countries in the world, women with low income are considered the untouchable since they are place in the lowest class in the society. Because of the flood after cyclone 2b, some women lost everything they have. At the same time, they still need to make the effort to take care of their kids, which makes life more difficult for them. Cultural practice also makes people believe men"s life are more important than women"s so they saved the men before the women. They believe providing a shelter for women is wasteful because they will rather save a spot for a young and strong man.
