All who vote are a corporate group in this sense: cohesive organized group. - only lineage system establish corporate units with political functions. Primitive states: tribe, definition: largest community that considers that disputes should be settled by arbitration. - tribal sections: a tribe is divided into territorial sections > villages > domestic groups. Segmentary opposition as principle of political system.
