Longer blocks of observation requires longer blocks of writing. Notes composed after several days of observation = summaries and are stripped of rich and nuanced details. When writing after the field: just get it all down edit after: recalling in order to write: Trace activities and observations in chronological order. Focus systematically on incidents or exchanges: writing detailed notes: depiction of scenes: Organize entries into units that create coherent and mark beginnings and endings.
