Notes on the presidents and some of covey"s tips and levers. Responsibility- which people have both to the present and the future. George washington was aware of this, as he took over the presidency despite his reservations and when he decided to step down, putting in place a tradition that became law for presidential terms. Perhaps tomorrow"s responsibility (like their legacy or impact) is more important than today, than the present, and the future cannot be escaped just by avoiding it now. Requires courage to be brave enough to make mistakes, accept failure, and keep trying anyway. There are many paths to take in life, so one choice will not ruin a life. Need patience in seeking primary greatness, it does not happen overnight. Easy is not always best, sometimes the harder choice is better, more efficient or effective, but that doesn"t mean it has to be complicated.
