Document Summary

Behavior geneticists study our differences and weigh the effects and interplay of heredity and environment. Active genes are expressed, inactive are not. Genome the complete instructions for making an organism, consisting of all the genetic material in that organism"s chromosomes. Monozygotic twins identical twins, develop from a single fertilized egg that splits in two, creating two genetically identical organisms: genetically identical. Dizygotic twins fraternal develop from separate eggs, are no genetically closer than ordinary siblings but they share a prenatal environment. No proven wrong genes matter: separation after birth did not affect similarities. Adoption genetic relatives and environmental relatives: more similar to biological parents. Temperament- a person"s characteristic emotional reactivity and intensity. Heritability the proportion of variation among individuals that we can attribute to genes. The heritability of a trait may vary depending on the range of populations and environments studied.
