Document Summary

60 million lost their lives in wwii. About 14. 5 million soviet soldiers were killed. Civilian death toll in the us was less than 10. The single best thing that ever happened to society was the defeat of the axis powers in wwii. If the axis powers one we would"ve lived in a genocidal society. By the end of war the allies were building unsinkable ships, best airplanes, and much better weapons and vehicles than the axis powers. Nothing about how the us democracy ran changed during the war. The us"s relative dedication to the notion of all men are created equal absolutely had to do with the allied victory in wwii. Wwii can be considered a victory of better over much much worse. Us entered too late and too little prepared. Unconditional surrender was stupid because it made german generals not want to even consider a peaceful treaty as well as japanese moderates.
