The us"s relative dedication to the notion of all men are created equal absolutely had to do with the allied victory in wwii. Wwii can be considered a victory of better over much much worse. Us entered too late and too little prepared. Unconditional surrender was stupid because it made german generals not want to even consider a peaceful treaty as well as japanese moderates.
