Brown v board (separate but equal is unconstitutional, schools must desegregate) What this essay does is remind us that educational philosophy is so often with intention; we never seem to be where we want to be; always criticizing faults, looking at where we went wrong, negative tone. The notion that we are in crisis" seems like hyperbole; this notion keeps us moving; the idea that we have problems mean that we can"t rest on our educational morals. Human engagement lies in a problem; now we have something to sink our teeth into. Recognizing when a problem is really a problem, or when it"s a problem that"s been created for a different purpose; sometimes it seems like we create problems in order to force ourselves to move somewhere else.
