Roman cities- a lot of sports, churches, basically everything we have in modern cities. Hippodrome (constantinople)- chariot racing track- oval shaped- 100,000 seats. Colosseum- most intact today- where you would go to watch gladiators- 87,000 people. Needed a ticket - didn"t have to buy tickets- wealthy person would buy them and hand them out. There is a basement- ability to bring people and animals through the floor. When they opened they had 100 days of gaming- 5,000 animals a day were killed for entertainment. T-shirt shooter they would throw balls out into the crowd with prizes in them. Gladiator- loved their gladiator events- they fought with many different weapons. People would have their favorite gladiator as a figurine. Highly trained- a lot of money spent to keep them healthy.
