Dna nucleotides are ordered in antiparallel double helix. Cells are the smallest building blocks of all multicellular organisms. All cells are enclosed by surface membranes that separate them from other cells and the environment. Many have organelles which are specialized structures within the cell. All living things are composed of one or more cells. The cell is the basic unit of life. New cells arise from pre existing cells. Plasma membrane is really important in a lot of functions in the cell. Gatekeeper, lets things in and out of the cell. As volume increases, sa does not increase at the same rate. Robert hooke - first person to visualize cells. Used his invention, the light microscope to see them. Became first person to visualize living cells.
