Document Summary

Can"t mimic the fact that our gaze changes all the time can match the disparity across the eyes. Binocular stereogram: mimic the different viewpoint of each eye. Different viewpoints suggest different arrangement in space. Present separate pictures to each eye and you will get binocular fusion of the two pictures. There is a barrier in-between the eyes critical to produce the binocular fusion effect. Examples: viewmaster, nintendo virtual boy, nintendo 3ds, oculus rift. Supposed to create a 3d experience, but can"t quite make it seem natural. Anaglyph: an image is presented where one scene is portrayed in, usually, red and another is portrayed in, usually, cyan. The red/cyan filter is used to subtract the scene. Used to mimic crossed and uncrossed images due to a shift between the red and the cyan the red filter allows the red to pass through to the back of the eye (same for the cyan)
