The readings meant to define what the design and deliver shows us. 80/20: don t put all your eggs in one basket. Example when designing do not spend all money in seating and forget about lighting. Stepping back and prioritizing your makeup and planning. Weakest link: you need the weakest link sometimes. Build in safety, usually thought of the bad things but in this sense is good. Example: power chargers on mac, magnet now so if you pull on the cord or trip, the cord just falls rather than crashing the laptop. Design by committee: may look at as being one person but really there is truly a team of people behind the scenes. Garbage in/ garbage out: difference of a mistake and a slip. Loose attention for a second rather than all the way. Wrong way of measuring items for a house. Example: open fridge, but can not open dishwasher.
