Battle of the little bighorn (battle of the greasy grass) Custer and his 7th cavalry on their own, easy on sioux, cheyenne, sioux, Custer and 700 of his troops are killed. Complies with orders to leave land, travels with 750 men, women, and children. Some members of another tribe fire on white settlers. U. s. troops attack the nez perce and they fire back.
