Reactive - waiting to get called on the radio. Coactive - working with victims to address criminal activity. Can both mitigate and instigate crimes - studies found that more traditional and stable family models are more successful at curbing crime. Staying involved with good after school programs can curb criminal thoughts and tendencies. Many americans start working around the age of 14-16. Some areas in the inner cities have square blocks with 0% employment; these areas also have high crime rates.
