All activities in order to control kick and blow out during drilling is called well control. The very first tool of well control is fluid density control which is the control of drilling fluid (mud) hydrostatic pressure. Drilling fluid (mud) has two function in well control: to prevent any well kick, to kill the kick (if occurs) and regain the well control.
