Feelings and emotions can be affected by the architecture, the history, culture, but there is a biological component to how affective forces work on our body. Tomkins (1992): affect is part of a larger cognitive system which does not operate on the command-control principles distributed functions which include perception and memory . What youa re able to remember about that place and how you have learned to perceive certain spaces. Our feelings and emotions are triggered, but we do not have too much control over them we can only manage them through our cultural knowing.
